In the summer season (till the end of November) the tower is opened from 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
The Jasna Góra Tower was rebuilt after the fire in 1900 and consecrated on August 15, 1906. Its lower part dates back to the 18th century. The tower is 106,3m high and has 5 stories. From the foot of the tower up to the top storey there are 519 steps.
Half way to the top a clock is located. Its 36 bells and chimes play Marian melodies every quarter of an hour.
On the spire of the tower is a raven with a loaf of bread in its beak. The span of the bird’s wings is 170 cm.
In 1980s the spire was restored, and the first and the second storeys renovated. In recent years the entire Tower was cleaned.
In march, the Tower can be exceptionally opened for pilgrims only on Saturdays and Sundays when beautiful sunny weather allows.
In the winter season (December-March) the Tower is closed.
